Match rule

Three steps. The software does the parts in between.

Matching programs fail on the follow-through: who gave, what was matched, which check went out, and whether anyone told the agency. DuoGive runs that whole loop.

  1. A donor gives

    On your branded giving site, by category or directly to an agency. One-time or recurring, card or PayPal, with an optional in-memory or in-honor note. The donor gets a tax receipt the moment the gift clears.

  2. You match

    Gifts land in a review queue. Match by your rules — ratios, caps per donor or per agency, annual limits — or decide gift by gift. When you decline a match, you record why, and the record keeps the reason.

  3. The agency gets one check

    Forward the combined gift. The agency receives a notice with the donor, the match, the check date, and any note the donor left. Refunds, corrections, and offline gifts are handled on the same record.

  • Agency directory

    Every eligible nonprofit with a mission, category, status, and legal name. Inactive agencies stay in the history; duplicates merge cleanly.

  • Recurring gifts

    Monthly and annual gifts that bill on the day they started, with each cycle flowing into the same match queue.

  • Tax receipts

    Automatic on payment, re-sendable by staff, and year-end statements per donor.

  • Donor accounts

    Donors see their history, receipts, and recurring gifts. Staff can look up any donor and act on their behalf.

  • Audit trail

    Every match, forward, refund, and edit is logged with who did it and when.

  • Imports

    Bring your existing donors, gifts, and subscriptions from GiveWP or a spreadsheet, keeping your original gift numbers.

We built DuoGive to replace a matching program that lived in a spreadsheet, where the agency found out about a match when the check arrived. Now the gift, the match, and the forward are one record — and the agency hears about it before the envelope does.

Secure by default

Card data never touches our servers. Checkout is protected against card-testing attacks, every admin action is logged, and the database is backed up hourly to separate storage. Read the security overview.
